American Visionary Art Museum
– Features art produced by self-taught artists.  Not your average art museum experience.

Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum – Everyone things of the Babe as a Yankee, but he was born here in Baltimore.

Baltimore Museum of Art – Baltimore’s contemporary art museum.  Has one of the largest holding of works by Henri Matisse.

Baltimore Museum of Industry – Located in an old cannery, this museum looks at all types of manufacturing and industry from the early 20th century.

Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Museum – A historic roundhouse building now displays a collection of trains and railroading artifacts.

Baltimore Streetcar Museum – Take a ride on a restored streetcar and they travel a three mile loop at this museum.

Edgar Allen Poe House and Museum – Located in the little house where Poe lived with his aunt.

Geppi’s Entertainment Museum – Located in the historic Camden Station building, this contemporary museum has a large collection of pop-culture items featuring comics, radio and television shows, movies, cartoons and more.

Historic Ships of Baltimore – Here’s a floating museum that consists of a collection of very special historic ships.  The USS Constellation, the USCG Taney, USS Torsk, Lightship Chesapeake, plus the Seven Knoll Lighthouse.

Maryland Science Center – Located on the Inner Harbor.  Has a popular IMAX theater, a planetarium, and a great variety of permanent and changing exhibits.

National Aquarium – Does this count as a museum? We think it does.  The museum displays are just swimming.  A must see on any Baltimore visit.

National Pinball Museum – Moved from Washington DC to Baltimore’s Inner Harbor in 2012.  A two floor museum featuring vintage pinball machines and their history. There’s an arcade with machines visitors can play. Located at 608 Water Street in the historic chocolate factory building near Power Plant Live.

Port Discovery Children’s Museum – This one is designed just for the kids.  Three floors of interactive and educational fun for children newborn to 10 years old.

 Walters Art Museum – A world-class art museum.   The collection includes masterpieces from the 18th and 19th centuries, art from ancient Greece and Egypt, and arms and armor.
