Visiting North Beach
North Beach, Maryland sits on the Western Shore of the Chesapeake Bay. This small town has seven blocks of waterfront, a public fishing pier, and a half mile long boardwalk with a bike path. You'll enjoy wide open views of the Chesapeake from the boardwalk benches.
There are fees for access to the beach and use of the fishing pier no non-North Beach residents. Kayak and paddle board and bike rentals are available as well as beach chairs and umbrellas.
The town has a variety of shops, including antiques and gifts. And there are several restaurants to choose from. All are within walking distance from the pier, so park your car and enjoy a stroll around town.
If you're in town on a Friday night, visit the popular Friday Night Farmer's Market and Classic Car Cruise-In. This happens from May to the beginning of October. Weekend visitors can also take in the Bayside History Museum, open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 to 4:00.
And, there is a series of free summer concerts and movies on the beach.
