North Beach Maryland

Visiting North Beach

North Beach PierNorth Beach, Maryland sits on the Western Shore of the Chesapeake Bay. This small town has seven blocks of waterfront, a public fishing pier, and a half mile long boardwalk with a bike path.  You'll enjoy wide open views of the Chesapeake from the boardwalk benches.

There are fees for access to the beach and use of the fishing pier no non-North Beach residents.  Kayak and paddle board and bike rentals are available as well as beach chairs and umbrellas.

The town has a variety of shops, including antiques and gifts.  And there are several restaurants to choose from.  All are within walking distance from the pier, so park your car and enjoy a stroll around town.

If you're in town on a Friday night, visit the popular Friday Night Farmer's Market and Classic Car Cruise-In.  This happens from May to the beginning of October.   Weekend visitors can also take in the Bayside History Museum, open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 to 4:00.

And, there is a series of  free summer concerts and movies on the beach.
