The Chesapeake Bay Region’s Resort Hotels
There are three popular resort hotel properties on the Chesapeake Bay
A stay at a resort offers many extras that you wouldn’t find at a regular hotel.
Most resorts have spas, on-site dining, and recreational activities available. Some have golf course, marinas, and special family-oriented activities for the kids.
There are resort properties in three distinct regions of the Chesapeake Bay area. You can enjoy beaches and open water Chesapeake Bay views in Chesapeake Beach, on the Western Shore, a protected harbor on the Choptank River and small town charm in Cambridge, on the Eastern Shore, or a quiet rural setting on the Northern Neck in Irvington.
The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Resort is located in Cambridge, on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. In addition to things to do in Cambridge, Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and the towns of Easton, St. Michaels, and Oxford are nearby.
The Tides Inn is located in Irvington, on Virginia’s Northern Neck. Reedville is about a half hour’s drive away, and from there you can take a cruise to Tangier Island in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay.
The waterfront Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina occupies 342 acres of landscaped grounds and features a 400-room luxury four-star resort (including 16 suites), six food and beverage outlets, an 18-hole championship golf course, 150 slip marina, 18,000 square foot spa, multi-level indoor and outdoor swimming pool and children’s recreation center. All located on Maryland’s picturesque Eastern Shore, close to boating, fishing, and attractions in nearby Easton, St. Michaels, and Kent Island. The Cambridge Hyatt is easy to get to. It is located off of Route 50 and can be seen from the Choptank River Bridge, heading East.
